So, we are off to Japan next week for about 3 weeks with a stopover in Hong Kong on the way. I'm on different medications for my vertigo so I had to find out if I could take them, as different countries have different legal drugs etc.
Japan was fine as long as it is for personal use and less than a month, so that's okay. But trying to find out for Hong Kong just has me going round in circles. The Hong Kong customs website says it's okay for personal use up to a month, but the Chinese customs website says only a week's supply is allowed.
We contacted the UK embassy in Hong Kong to see if they could shed any more light on it, no, they had no idea and sent me back to the Hong Kong customs site! I tried to contact the Chinese embassy in London, but all my emails bounced back saying that the email address doesn't exist. Can't get through on the phone and they are not open weekends when John could go with me. I can't travel that far on my own. Worried would be an understatement at this point.
John, wonderful husband that he is, decided that he would book tickets for Cursed Child for our anniversary, but of course it's booked out years in advance, LOL! Then, instead, he decided he would book premiere tickets for Fantastic Beasts for the special screening at the Harry Potter studio tour. Foiled again, that too was booked out! He does try, bless him :)
So our Japan trip is actually our anniversary present even though we're going on October, not August.
I've finished the first draft of my Snarry Swap fic, I wanted to get it done before we went otherwise I would have been thinking about it while we were away. The dizziness is a bit erratic. Some days fine, other days I have a migraine so bad I can't get out of bed. And sometimes I don't get the headache at all, but the vertigo where everything is spinning. I don't normally get both of them together, but they are both a version of migraine.
